Suspend to ram/libata patches for T43 - 2.6.15 status?

Alastair McKinley
Hi everyone,

When setting up suspend to ram and hard-disk power management for my T43
I had to apply patches I found here:
http://linux.spiney.org/debian_gnu_linux_on_an_ibm_thinkpad_t43p_harddisk
to 2.6.14.

Does anyone know the status of the support for this hard-disk in
2.6.15-rc5?

Thanks,

Alastair

According to http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Problems_with_SATA_and_Linux
the SMART and power management patches are included, but for SATA
suspend/resume a patch is still needed.

T41p undervolting : how to apply a patch ?

Fred bobby
Hello,

I think my T41p is still too hot and I want to undervolt the CPU. I
find a patch on this page :

http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Pentium_M_undervolting_and_underclocking

I choose the alternative 2 : it's a file *.patch : how to apply it ?
It will add the voltage_table in my /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu/
cpufrq directory ? Because for the moment I don't have this file :/

If not someone know a better way?

Thanks

Use this patch: http://avkrok.net/nw8240/centrino-voltages.diff
Ad have a look at the gentoo-undervolting howto.
