Thinklight control on a T430s

Joachim Breitner-2
Hi,

I just got a new T430s, to replace my T400, and it seems that I cannot
control the thinklight via /sys anymore, probably due to the new
“four-lighting-modes” logic.

Is this known? Is there a way to make it work? I start to miss chat
messages due to the non-functional pidgin-blinklight.

Greetings,
Joachim

small amendment: On Linux 3.5, I can manually enable the thinklight and
then switch it _off_ using
$ echo 0 > /sys/class/leds/tpacpi\:\:thinklight/brightness
but I cannot turn it on using
$ echo 255 > /sys/class/leds/tpacpi\:\:thinklight/brightness

Greetings,
Joachim
